    The new 2024 GMC Terrain: Compact and capable

    The GMC Terrain for 2024 comes with a spacious interior that includes plenty of passenger room in both the first and second rows. There's also plenty of room for cargo, the ride is easygoing and the infotainment system is easy to use.     What's new for 2024?

    As the sales team can tell you at our dealership near Red Bluff, the GMC Terrain needed few changes for the latest model year but offers two new paint colors: Riptide Metallic and Downpour Metallic.

    Engine & Performance

    The GMC Terrain comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that's matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission and your choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The engine output is 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. It's been estimated that the new GMC Terrain can reach 60 mph in 8.9 seconds. The suspension is softly-sprung to help cushion the bumps you might encounter on long highway drives. The steering system provides effortless turning and handling, especially at low speeds. The new Terrain can tow up to 1,500 pounds when it's properly equipped.

    Fuel Economy

    As the sales consultants at our dealership near Durham will tell you, the new GMC Terrain with front-wheel drive should give you 25 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on highways around Oroville and Redding. If you go with all-wheel drive, your city gas mileage should stay the same and fuel economy on the highway is still strong at about 28 MPG.



    Interior Comfort & Cargo Space

    The cabin of the new GMC Terrain is spacious and comfortable, and it provides you with a high level of versatility when you're storing cargo. Credit for that goes to a standard 60/40 split folding rear seat along with an available front seat that can fold down flat and allow you to stow a long item like a stepladder. The new GMC Terrain provides 29.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 63.3 cubic feet when you fold those seats down. That's enough room to hold 24 carry-on suitcases.

    Infotainment & Technology

    The GMC Terrain has an infotainment system that serves up clear graphics, logical menus and in-car connectivity features. An in-dash navigation system comes standard on the top-level Denali trim and it's an available option on other models. Standard infotainment features include a 7-inch touch screen, wireless smartphone connectivity, satellite radio and a six-speaker stereo.

    Other standard features include a single-zone automatic climate control along with keyless entry and push-button start. You can upgrade to an available 8-inch touch screen, wireless device charging, a seven-speaker stereo and a 120-volt household-style power outlet. Other available features in the new Terrain include dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start and a sunroof.

    Safety Features & Technology

    The new GMC Terrain comes with standard safety features like a rearview camera, a forward collision warning system, lane departure warning and automatic high-beam headlights. You can upgrade to available blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view parking camera system, a head-up display and adaptive cruise control.
